This is the clip MissTrish was talking about in the other topic. It''s from the 2009 season 2nd round between Tactix and Fever. Must have been the only match I didn''t record for whatever reason but managed to get a copy of the match after a lot of dead ends. Quality wise not up to my standard but better than no video. Had trouble trying to convert to avi so left it as mpeg. If anyone can convert this to mpeg and crop the black bars your a genius.

...so which format did you want, avi or mpeg? either way i'm pretty sure it has to be compressed again but maybe you could use something like mpgtx (http://mpgtx.sourceforge.net/) to hack the header information...

but bugger that, the dimensions should have been set to 768x576 (4:3 aspect ratio) in the first place but for some reason it's at 352x576 (width x height), the preview video is just showing how it actually is... cropping is not necessary either, the only reason you are getting black bars either side is because you are forcing it to be played at 16:9 on your player, they don't exist on the actual video itself... the black bars above and below the video could be cropped off to make it native 16:9 ratio if you wanted though...

anyway you open it up in Virtualdub and add the resize filter, set it to the dimensions I recommend for 4:3 ratio and compress it. You will lose some quality but hopefully nothing too noticeable... if you really want it at 16:9 ratio then you will also need to crop the top and bottom bars off. So after the 'resize' filter you will also need to add the 'null transform' filter, then press the 'cropping' button and crop it until the final dimensions end up as 768x432...

The black bars on the 16:9 video below are just padding for the player (notice how they are darker than the 4:3 above it?), it's just doing the same deal as what your computers local player is doing with the adding of the bars on either side, they're not on the actual video itself if you download it and check it in it's native ratio...
