I saw Rove Live last night, they were talking about the theme song being sung by new people, a new intro and some new actors comming into the series.
They were hinting there are still some secrets other than that, but I don't think there will be much more.

Oh, I see ... a shame really. I thought that July 23 might coincide with:
1. The 18th birthday of Eliza Taylor-Cotter, and
2. A bold new direction for the show (read: sexier). 8)

From SMH
In the past fortnight a number of regular characters have left Ramsay Street to make way for the Parkers, a completely new family featuring Australian drama favourites Steve Bastoni and Nikki Coghill.
Also joining the cast later in the year will be McLeod's Daughters actor Brett Tucker, who returns in his role as Daniel Fitzgerald and Kym Valentine, who returns as Libby Kennedy.

...
An increased shooting schedule, from three days a week to up to five, will allow the show to use more sets and take the characters away from Ramsay Street more often.

Well so much for the earth shattering surprise/change. Talk about an anticlimax. So there was a new intro tune, a pretty mundane (boring) wedding, followed by a dull intro of a new [dull looking] family - hardly a huge change. What the hell happened, did a few of those exec drongos from BB move over to Ramsay st?

hahaha, and who knew a 2 tonne truck quietly rolling down a driveaway at about 20Kmph can cause a mini bus to turn right over and burst into flames... I mean please, these guys [writers] aren't even trying anymore. I've read (and written) more realistic scenarios in my own fanfiction.. hehe.

I like the new intro, though I'd say the wedding wasn't much. Probably did more for the ladies.

haha, You have to watch out for those vehicles on camera. Hollywood cars always blow up and now another Aussie Tv victim, poor van.

The new intro (graphics) reminded me of the old Headland intro, which was animated in a similar way. I actually expected the theme song to be totally rewritten :? Oh well, I guess it still has to be the classic Neighbours lyrics.
Agreed that the truck/mini-van collision was totally corny ... who trusts Toadie behind the wheel anyways!
And what's this about brother-sister lovers :?: :!:
Did I interpret that promo in the right way?

Haha, that's right. What really cracks me up was when I was watching "Kingdom of Heaven" earlier today, and yet even in that period piece (1100AD) they still managed to have things blowing up?!?! I didn't know a boulder strapped to a catapult could do that? LOL

I love it how they say they will go back to basics with what supposedly made neighbours a good show 100 years ago and then in the first 2 episodes of the new beginning they have a crash with someone in hospital plus a couple find out they are brother and sister.

Correction: We can post anything that is filmed after October 24.

Unfortunately Eliza is leaving the show very soon. Apparently she's already completed all of filming, which means no postable material :(

Except there won't be anything to post - she wrapped up all her filming before her 18th.
