More info please:
- are you on a PC or Mac?
- What player software have you tried?

Assuming you're using a PC:

- if you use quicktime, try reinstalling the latest version
- if you use another player (media player classic, etc.) install quicktime alternative
- try VLC player - it also has basic quicktime support built in.

I assume it's the Vesna clip that's causing the problems. Has it worked for anyone on a PC? if so could you let us know what you're using. The clip was cut from a divx 5.0 avi, gaining the new suffix in the export process. The first thing I would try would be simply changing the extension to avi. If it's causing too many problems I'll upload it in a more suitable format.

For that Vesna clip I get video but no audio using VLC, and audio but no video in Media Player (both Classic and normal WMP11) and Quicktime.

There were 2 or 3 mov files that I couldn't get to work from the BB posts you made last week.

Okay, so we've got DX50 inside a Quicktime MOV container.

Just rename the file as AVI and video should work.
Play the AVI in VLC to get both audio & video working.

thingfishs, in future could you use MPEG StreamClip (free) to convert your videos to proper AVI or MP4 format?
It will produce a file with better PC compatibility.

ok, my apologies. As for changing it to avi, what's being suggested is just changing the extension. Instead of .mov at the end of the filename type in .avi and there's a good chance it will work. Let me know how you go.

Do you have Windows set to show file extensions so that you can see mov/avi at the end of the file name?
If so, just rename the file and change "mov" to "avi".

If not:
- Control Panel > Folder Options...
- "View" tab > "Advanced settings" section
- Uncheck "Hide extensions for known filetypes"

Walker, just download SUPER © & use it to convert any file you can't play into AVI files. I use it all the time for everything (even YouTube videos). It's easy-peasy!
The difference between ignorance and apathy? I don't know, and I couldn't care less.
