How do i download the videos?

Postby BluNT » Wed Aug 13, 2003 6:49 am

In Explorer right click the videos download link and then select "Save Target As..."

In Netscape (version 7) it is the same except you select "Save Link Target As..." after right clicking the download link

Save the file to your desktop or a folder and watch it in your own time

WARNING: If you simply click on the download link without doing the above step you will probably have to wait for the entire video to cache in your browser before being able to view it. If the video is large and your connection speed is slow you may exceed the php timeout allowed on our site and get a 404 error

Thanks for all the work that has gone into the site!
It looks great :)

Just wanted to ask if there is any way to download video files with download programs like getright?
Mainly need a link to the file (it goes without saying that password protection would be required :) )

Thanks again to the Mods & all.

:)

Don't know what the site admins feelings are on download managers, but I have recently reinstalled Flashget and I just right click the link and choose "download using flashget". If you prefer left clicking I'm sure there's some preferences you can edit to automagically start the download.

ok this maybe a modem or ISP problem...but, when I download the bigger files they get to a certain point and stop :?

like the bond clip gets to 5.05 meg and stops then times out, same with steph mcintosh at the pool, 16.6 meg then stops.

is there any solutions anyone has come across at all to fix this?

I have a web Excel Connexant ADSL modem, connected to OzeMail 256/64

if this is the wrong place to ask, feel free to delete this post or move it or somethign.

cheers for your help.

Hi matty_c, I tried downloading both videos to see if the same thing would happen to me but there was absolutely no problem at all. It must be on your end I dare say. I'm using the same speed connection - 64/256. Maybe try a file download resumer so you don't have to start from the beginning every time it stalls on you. I'm not sure what else I can suggest as this is the first time I have heard of such an issue. I hope you work it out, goodluck ;)
