what's the problem? If it is with downloading files I still haven't worked out the issue as they all work fine for me in both explorer and firefox. Try a right click and "Save As.." if that doesn't work try a normal left click on the link. Both ways download the correct file for me.

If anyone else is still having this problem please let me know here.

I'm having a slight problem with the auto-login. I'm always having to login now, when a couple of weeks ago I didn't have to.

I'm checking this out with the author of the attachment mod to see what changes were made to the download.php file, i'll let you all know when this is sorted. As I have mentioned before though, ALL of the downloads work for me fine, is there anyone else having trouble? or anyone NOT having trouble even?

No problems here.. left & right-click saving both work for me, using Firefox.

they come up as download.php for me too but you can see the filesize is larger than most php files. just rename it to the correct name of the movie and it will work fine

ok we think we have narrowed it narrowed down to files above @40 megs that are being affected in this forum at the moment. Members area videos work under a different download method and are not affected at all btw. I'll get admin to look at the server settings and see what has been changed in the last few weeks. In the meantime just download files under 40meg and see what happens. I've got a feeling it's a php.ini issue, somehow that file has been changed back to normal server default settings. I know the server was upgraded with a bunch of new software about a week ago so that is most likely what's happened.

I've been using this forum for ages without problem, but in the last few days when I try to download a video the browser(firefox) anounces the download has fincished almost immediately, but cheking the size of the file and trying to open it shows it has not really downloaded. Does anyone know what the problem could be? I'm computer literate and as far as I know nothing on my end has been altered since the problems began.

Right click the link, save target as... save to a specific folder. Open up the folder... 'play'.
The price is wrong, bitch

The videos I try to download are "download.php"....again.
I have left clicked, and right clicked and did "save target as.." and still, the stupid "download.php" instead of the video.
Worked fine a few days ago after 1000x tries and now it's back with problems.

...so your one of the tards that press download 1000 times on a video and make it archive eh??? read the bloody rules m1... and try reading other posts like "new dedicated server", it might just answer why things were playing up over the past few days... anyway what video (or videos) did you attack m1 so we can get it reset to a decent download number?
