Download limit from forum posts

Postby dng2014 » Mon Jun 08, 2009 5:43 pm

Hi just wondering if anyone else has the same problem as me.

If I try to download a file that I already have I get a page that counts down for 4 mins and says that I can only download 1 file at a time. Because I already have the file I click cancel. Im okay with downloading 1 at a time but it seems to still think I am downloading the file.

Any suggestions????

Why are you trying to download a file you already have...it doesn't make much sense. The mod was made to stop people doing things like that, and to stop multiple clicking of the download which forces the file to be archived quicker than usual...

The way you have worded your post is also a bit strange... So you get to the 'file limit' page and then you cancel a download...huh? I don't see how that is possible. Its the other way around, you download a file, then cancel it, then you try again and you are sent to the download limit page...yeah? If so then thats quite normal. Why decide to download something and then decide to cancel it half way through? lol

You have to download a file completely without cancelling it. If you cancel it you will have to wait the 5 minutes or whatever it is to download another. If you don't cancel it and the file downloads completely you can then go ahead and download something else without any delay... works for me and I get the full file every time, one after another, I don't see what the problem is...

In a nutshell, choose a file, download it completely, repeat the process... you shouldn't get any download limit page at all that way...

In regards to thephantom and Max_TMPs problems, is that still happening? maybe you were trying to download something while there was some work being done to the site at the time? I just tried a few downloads and they all work fine for me
