Downloaded the codecs suggested and still doesn't work

IndieFilmGuy777 your better off getting DivX working or you will have problems with other videos using that same codec (DivX is VERY popular)

why would you want QT anyway are you running on mac?

I only have software that outputs Avi, ain't gonna fork out for Quicktime Pro anytime soon. Try doing a Google search for an earlier Divx version like Divx 4 and installing that.
